Story Beast

I like the name of the National Storytelling Network’s online magazine – The Story Beast. I was trying to figure out how to write about all the many events I have coming up, and to also write about how there’s an article in the Story Beast that features me and some of my favorite storytellers and I just realized that “story beast” might be the perfect title for this post.

Story Slam

On November 20, I am competing in a Story Slam, hosted by Six Feet Apart Productions, online. I do love competition, but I prefer beating people at Settlers of Catan to beating them at storytelling. The good news is, the other storytellers are so amazing, I don’t stand a chance at winning, so I can just enjoy telling a story without having to get competitive. The theme is By Hook or Crook, and I am telling a story about how I finished writing my first novel, Caged.
