Storyteller, Author, Keynote Speaker, & Teacher
Inspiring and transforming lives through storytelling
Welcome to my website. I wear a lot of hats and this website is a place to bring at least a few of my professional hats together. Contact me if you need a speaker, a teacher, a storyteller, or a keynote presenter.
I am a:
Storyteller – I have been performing stories on stages since 2007. You learn more about my performances and see a list of some of my solo show offerings here.
Author – in addition to being published in magazines, anthologies, and reviews, I am the author of the urban fantasy novel Caged (under pen name JP Robinson) and the memoir-in-stories, Stages: My Life in Stories. Find my latest books here.
Speaker – I have led presentations, workshops and webinars for BAE Systems, The Brookings Institution, George Washington University School of Business, Jack Morton International, and The World Bank, among others. Contact me for a list of keynote and speaking engagement offerings.
Teacher and Coach – I help people find their stories through one-on-one and small class sessions, both online and in-person. Read about some of the many workshops I offer here.
I am also the Founding Executive Director of Better Said Than Done, Northern Virginia’s premier storytelling organization with monthly storytelling shows in-person in and around the DMV, and online everywhere. Better Said Than Done also produces the annual Women’s Storytelling Festival.
That’s not all the hats I wear, but it’s probably enough for one website.
Jessica Robinson is an exceptional storyteller, workshop facilitator, and producer whose rapport builds genuine connection. She is a consummate professional who consistently delivers polished, high-quality work. Her stories draw on shared experience, making audiences feel welcomed into her world and fully engaged in the story. Jessica has an amazing way of weaving you into her narrative and making you feel like a part of the story. This ability reflects the exceptional craft, skill, and technique of a master storyteller.
Chetter Galloway
Storyteller
Jessica Robinson tells stories that matter. Her repertoire is diverse and highly entertaining but also guided by a deep commitment to crafting narratives that highlight injustice and call to our better natures. She can make audiences laugh, cry, and think, all in one story–quite a feat.

Whether they make you laugh or cry, Jessica’s stories will have you saying: ‘Truth.’
