Speaking & Storytelling
As a speaker/storyteller, I find myself on a lot of different stages in front of a lot of different audiences. I am equally thrilled to put together a presentation on Storytelling as a Marketing Tool for a conference as I am to perform 45 minutes of family friendly stories at a preschool or park. I have been hired to do it all, and hope to continue to be hired for a diverse range of speaking engagements, but my time is usually divided between leading workshops for individuals and organizations & performing stories for adults in shows, festivals, and conferences.
Key Highlights
- Performed at Exchange Place at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN
- Led a presentation on Storytelling in Marketing for Jack Morton International, at the Jack Morton Auditorium in Washington, DC
- Performed a story on WGBH’s Stories from the Stage, in Boston, MA
- Led a Presentation on Personal Branding through Storytelling for BAE Systems
Whether it’s a story from history, from current events, or from her own life, Jessica creates narratives that invite listeners to familiar ground seen from new perspectives. A pleasure to listen to; a pleasure to recall; a pleasure to re-experience.

Storyteller. Artistic Director, Rose Valley Storytelling House Concerts
Jessica Robinson is a master storyteller in every sense of the word. Her stories range from deeply personal narratives to tall tales and supernatural spookiness. She handles difficult subjects with humor and a practical, real world sensibility.
Jessica is fearless at using stories to impact social change. She told a story at the NSN conference that held me spellbound, as the impacts of prejudice in Nazi Germany were unveiled onto a young family, with social implications that resonate to this day. Powerful stories, well told.

Storyteller
To hear Jessica Piscitelli Robinson tell stories is to be invited to a delightful home cooked meal with all the trimmings. The antipasto is funny and ridiculous, but just makes you want more. The Primo or First Course is pure comfort, like sitting down with an old friend and sharing memories over a fine Chianti. The Secondo or Second Course is hearty and deep, allowing us to see how we are all connected. The Dolce or dessert reminds us of the sweetness of our own journeys and to appreciate the present moment. Jessica is the full meal deal.

Solo Shows Now Booking
For conferences, festivals and shows, I usually craft stories and presentations that fit the theme, time limits, and requests of the producers. Having created several solo shows, I also offer them to be booked by request. Each of the following can be scaled up or down for time, but most run approximately 50 minutes.
Solo Storytelling Shows
- Covid and Kids and Zombies: the totally true story of trying to survive parenting two small children during the covid-19 shutdown woven together with a slightly less true story of trying to survive the zombie apocalypse
- Fan Fiction: a showcase from a selection of re-imagined literary tales – from authors such as Ambrose Bierce, Kate Chopin, W. W. Jacobs, Guy de Maupassant, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and Edith Wharton – told with a modern eye
- Geriatric Pregnancy and Other Stories of Aging Gracelessly: a humorous look at being the oldest parents at the elementary school
- Magic Hour: stories set in a reality with a sprinkle, or a bucket, of magic
- Tech Babies: a journey through infertility, prenatal complications, and the specialists who are supposed to help
- The Little People: An Exploration of Power, Humbleness, and Hope through stories of people who have had a lot of the latter two and not so much of the first
