SUMMARY:SFAP Story Slam
DESCRIPTION:I am the Guest Teller at the May 6th Six Feet Apart Productions Story Slam. Last month the guest teller was Ingrid Nixon\, and the last time before that I attended\, it was Bil Lepp. So\, I am sorry to the May audience that they only get me. But since I am telling a story while votes are being cast\, I assume no one will be listening anyway. Which is good\, because I plan to sing. 😉 \nThey still have 4 slots available for any storytellers who want to try to win the coveted SFAP mug. \nDetails and Registration Here.

SUMMARY:Storytelling Performance in MD
DESCRIPTION:I am excited to return to Stories in the Round for another solo show. I premiered “Tech Babies” there\, the solo show about IVF and prenatal complications that I have performed all over the country\, and that makes up three chapters in Stages: My Life in Stories. \nBut in April\, I will be premiering a new solo show. I’m thinking of it as a descent into the mystic\, or an ascent into the mythic. Either way\, I believe we will start in reality and then step away from mundanity. \nStories In The Round is a storytelling series at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hagerstown\, 13245 Cearfoss Pike\, Hagerstown\, MD generally the 4th Monday of the month. \n$12 in advance\, $15 at the door. Children 12 & older welcome when accompanied by a parent or group leader. \nContact: Fanny Crawford\, 301-730-1638 or fanitsky@hotmail.com

SUMMARY:Mostly True Story
DESCRIPTION:On October 19th\, 2024\, I will be joining the cast of (mostly) True Things\, in Port Jefferson\, NY\, for their 10 year anniversary show! (mostly) True Things comes from the wonderful and wild brain of Jude Treder-Wolff. A show in which storytellers share mostly true stories\, and the audience has to figure out the lie. \n(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show. True stories that range from wildly comedic to fascinating to profound – are told by a fantastic line-up of performers. All but one of the storytellers include subtle little lies in their story. In Act 2\, the audience gets to question the storytellers – who can improvise their responses – then votes for the person they think told their story with no lies. Some improvised\, story-inspired music and songs written for the show by host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff are additional ingredients for a high-energy\, often hilarious\, emotion-packed and entertaining show. There are prizes involved\, if you can believe a thing like that. \nThe show opens with an “open mic” portion in which audience members can share their own brief true story on the theme of the evening. The themes for this 10th anniversary show are: ANNIVERSARIES and 10! With storytellers Jessica Piscitelli Robinson\, Rita Rigano\, Ihab Ibrahim\, and Adam Grundfest.
